Black Magic tanning solution is made in Australia using the highest grade DHA available. Our DHA is imported from Europe. Black Magic has been designed for all skin types. Preparation for your Spray Tan
To ensure that you get the most from your Spray Tanning session please follow this simple preparation guide:

* Always wax at least a day before or shave at least 8 hours prior to your spray tan appointment.
* Wear loose dark clothing, reduce clingy materials & tight clothing so to avoid damaging your tan. Also to preserve your tan, it is advisable to leave your bra off after tan application. Do Not wear denim jeans, they will cause your tan to develop unevenly.
* Thoroughly exfoliate prior to your appointment.
* Attend your appointment freshly showered. No moisturizers No deodorants or perfumes. No make-up at all - All of these will act as a barrier & will stop your tan getting through to your skin. If possible also remove any jewellery, and preferably leave them off until you have had your first shower.
* Avoid any strenuous exercise, or anything that may cause you to perspire, as your tan will come off in places that you sweat. Also try to avoid cooking over an open fry pan or stove, as the steam will also affect your tan.
* When driving after your spray tan application, try to place your seatbelt underneath your arm. This will avoid the seatbelt rubbing your tan from your neck area.
* DO NOT SHOWER for at least 8 hours after your tan application, as your tan needs to develop.
* After your tan has developed, shower as usual. Excess will wash off in the shower, but there is no need to be alarmed, you will still be beautifully bronzed.

Tips for extending the life of your tan

* Tan care products are available to maintain your glowing tan.
* Whilst driving home from your Spray Tan session, rest your seatbelt under your arm - this will avoid your neck and shoulder developing unevenly.
* Moisturise after each shower, the more nourished your skin is the longer your tan will last.
* Avoid getting wet or perspire during the initial 4-8 hours.
* When toweling dry, pat your skin dry. Rubbing your skin with a towel can remove your tan prematurely, even with the softest of towels. Your skin is a very delicate organ.
* Avoid long hot baths and showers, also avoid swimming for long periods. All of these will reduce the life of your tan.
* Please be aware that your Spray Tan DOES NOT protect you from the negative effects of sun exposure, it is advised that you continue to use sunscreen with SPF30+ when exposed to the suns harmful rays.

Frequently Asked Questions

WILL IT STAIN MY CLOTHING OR OTHER ITEMS?
No, Black Magic is a quick drying product, and the colours used in the bronzing agent will not rub off onto clothing when applied in the correct manner.

HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
Every body is a little different, if you are careful and look after your tan you should get 7 days out of a fake tan. Your body will always naturally exfoliate causing the tan to fade away. When it becomes a little patchy simply exfoliate and ring for a new spray tan.

DOES IT WASH OFF?
No! Remember that the bronzing agent is for application. The unique Di Hydroxy(DHA)is what creates your tan. Just like a tan from the sun. Note DHA is not permanent, so it will fade as any suntan will. Which is why we recommend a weekly top up.

WHAT ABOUT SWIMMING WITH THE PRODUCT?
Swimming in chlorinated pools may cause your tan to wear quickly, when leaving the pool or ocean after a swim dry yourself down by patting yourbody not rubbing it dry with the towel, this will help maintain your spray tan.

ARE THERE ANY HARMFUL EFFECTS WITH THE PRODUCT?
Dermatologists will enthusiastically agree that Tanning with a Di Hydroxy formulation is much safer than tanning for prolonged hours in the sun. Skin allergies are not common however we do recommend that you do a sample area if you are a first time spray tanner.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO DRY?
Because every person have different levels of moisture in their skin, times will vary from person to person, however around 20 mins and you should be dry enough to go out and enjoy your tan.

IS IT OKAY TO USE SPRAY ON TAN DURING PREGNANCY?
There are no tests showing that spray tanning during pregnancy is harmful. The ingredient in the tanning solution that gives you your tan is DHA and this is made from sugar cane, and has no known problems. We recommend you consult with your Doctor.

CAN I BREASTFEED AND GET A SPRAYTAN?
If you are breastfeeding than i would suggest to you that you leave your bra on while getting a spray tan. Although the solution is made from natural products i would not recommend you getting your breasts sprayed.

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO WAX, BEFORE OR AFTER A SPRAY TAN?
Waxing is recommended at least 24 hours prior to having your spray tan, This is to ensure the pores of your skin are closed. Please discuss with your spary tan technician.

WEDDINGS - WILL THE SPRAY TAN STAIN MY DRESS?
No. However, make sure you get your gorgeous all-over tan at least one day before your wedding. Wash off the colour guide 8 hours later, 2 showers prior to wearing your wedding dress is recommended to ensure none of the bronzer has remained after your first shower. It is also recommended that you have a trial spray a month before your wedding.

DOES A SPRAY TAN PROVIDE SPF PROTECTION?
No! Spray Tans do not provide any sunscreen protection, so you should apply sunscreen accordingly. Your skin will appear tanned, even though it's not. This is an artificial tan. There is no Sun Protection Factor (SPF) so your skin is still exposed and vulnerable to the sun. If you choose to expose your skin to UV rays either from the sun or a tanning bed, it is important to use a lotion with SPF to protect you from the sun's harmful rays.
